Our client was facing difficulties in accurately estimating the size and effort required for each user story and task in agile software development. The lack of a standardized method for determining the relative complexity of different items in the backlog, increases the need for a solution that streamlines the estimation process and provides a consistent framework for project planning.
Our purpose was to develop a user-friendly app to facilitate the estimation process for agile teams that allows users to input user stories and tasks into the app. Additionaly, assign a weight or complexity value to each item based on predefined sizing scales (e.g., t-shirt sizes like XS, S, M, L, XL), calculate the average weight for each epic and determine the overall project weight.
